Tub Lovin'

Oh Yeah!

I finally found the time to paint my tub.  Remember she was white before.

I LOVE it pink.  This is where I am every night.  I am not a shower girl - and don't mock me - baths aren't dirty!  This makes me so happy and I hope you like it too.  If you liked it better white - shush it because I am in love :)

Painting the tub...

Maggie is totally right.

I need to paint my clawfoot tub.  White is nice, but it's not me & I love the funky inspiration pictures below.  So riddle me this...what color?  Remember this is off my bedroom where I have a lot of green, turquoise, red, pink & orange - plus a tad of yellow.  I'm kind of thinking orange or yellow - thoughts?  Oh and if & when I paint this bad boy - leave the legs silver, go solid paint, or black?  Oh decisions are tough!  But I'm sure it's the right move!

I love this room - it's the turquoise & yellow I adore!  Plus, I really want that SINK!

Oh this room is just cheery & fabulous!  It's a lot of yellow, but how could you not be happy in here?

Ok so most of this room isn't me at all, but that limey green - yes I swooned!

So give me your thoughts, but if you think it should stay white - shhh it!  :)

Master Bath Update

So it wasn't this weekend.  However, I FINALLY got around to updating my bathroom a bit.  I put in a bit of color - so it's more me.

Please don't tell Pottery Barn, but the antelope looks better hot pink!

The coat rack that holds my towel got a new spritz of turquoise.

As did my candle base which is really an old piece of architecture - love it!

You haven't seen this, but behind the tub is a little shelf to hold my bath essentials.

It's as cute as I can make it considering I need to use soap & a razor daily!  It also ties my colors together nicely.

I'm bummed that I recently bought new brown towels & tan rugs.  I thought at the time it wasn't me, but it went with the leopard I'm also rocking in here.  I may have to trade those in for some hot pink & turquoise towels for the summer!  I also  need a super sized painting in our toilet room to replace what came out.  Remember the old signs I had in here that now adorn the main bathroom?  I'm thinking a 4' painting of a plunger or a can of Lysol - done by Abbie would perfectly fit the bill.  They would look great with the funky toilet & tub she already made for in here.  I know I'm crazy - but that's how I roll - unexpected is my favorite look!

Bath Conversations

So I need some ideas.

I love this bad boy.  He greets me every time I take a bath - which is every night.  That's right - I am a tub girl that is in love with animal prints!

Anyway - should I spray paint my antelope or turquoise or keep this bad mama jama black?  I'm kind of thinking of taking him a color, the candle base a color & also the coat rack a color - spice it up a bit.  What do you think?

I need feedback...

OK I need some opinions.

To give you an idea, our master bedroom is off a small hallway off the kitchen & living room.  Our bathroom is then off our bedroom & then we have a separate toilet room.  It's in the very back corner of the bedroom.  It literally is a small room with a toilet & a door.

When you open the door - these signs are behind the door to the right.  They are hidden for the most part, but are hysterical.  Seriously - Danger - Do Not Enter Without Wearing Goggles so applies to some of the bombs my husband is dropping.

Anyway, I feel that they are kind of lost in here.  The door is always open so they are hidden behind that door.  The only time you see them is if you shut the door and use our master bathroom.  Where should I put them?  Should I redo our feminine pink bathroom into manly signs - would that be hilarious to have a manly pink bathroom - or should I put these in my laundry room?

This baby is in full view - I don't know why I love it.  You can get this print everywhere, but I do.  Probably the old history major within me.

This is the toilet.  That's hilarious that I just posted my toilet on here, but Abbie made me some amazing bathroom art.  I then brought in some turquoise with the magazine rack.  After seeing this picture - I need to ditch the mouth vase & elephant.  They were funny at one time, but don't really jive in here now.  I like night lamps in my house - I always leave them on - I'm not green - sorry - so that's why the leopard lamp is in here.  It seems out of place, but I have a leopard rug & leopard shower curtain & zebra prints in the main bathroom area.  That sounds hideous when I typed it, but it's really great.  So the lamp does go along with the overall theme.

So what do you think?  Do these signs deserve the spotlight somewhere else?

Restroom Anyone?

This bathroom is in the basement.  It's really more of Jade's retreat in his man cave.  Funny I know!  It's a wonderful pink.  I have a baby collection in here.  Old planters, crystal chandys, storks...oh the list goes on and on.  It's sooooo girly!  To all the pink man haters out there - real men wear pink - that's right I said it.  Jade wears pink, and my Dad wears hot pink.  There is no man more manly than my big farmer of a Dad.  Plus, when you are married to super tan outdoorsy men - hot pink is beautiful with their skin-tone!  Maybe that was the plan for Jade, his endless hours in this bathroom would at least give his reflection a beautiful glow?!?

This is our master bathroom.  I have a clawfoot tub out of my parents farmhouse.  I'm a total tub gal.  My parents got the first shower when I was in college - so clawfoot tubs were my life!  I have a crystal chandy above the tub, and a fuzzy white robe.  I got the antelope head as a Christmas gift & the big zebra print as a birthday gift.  I have a deep love of animal prints - thanks to my Grandma - Ethel Edith "Toots".  I even have a large floor rug in my bathroom that is leopard.  One may think - too much animal print?  Actually it's not - unexpected and fun and cozy - more so it's totally Annie!

This is directly across the room from the tub.  I found these old medicine cabinets at a sale.  I think I paid around $50 for the pair.  I paid less for one b/c it's back was missing.  Jade fixed that quickly!  I love them.  I also love the pedestal sinks.  Thanks Aubrie for the homemade ghost on my side!!
