Disney Recap - 4 months delayed

I can't believe I didn't ever blog about this BUT probably because I may never recover from our trip!

In March I earned a free vacation to Disney from Beachbody.  It was a partial week at the Yacht Club so we extended the week at a resort of my parents.

On the way down Ollie started puking & puked the remainder of the drive.  She sat on a towel cut to fit her seat and after blowing through clothes and a roll of paper towels she rode in a diaper with another towel for a blanket.  It was hellacious - yep that's a word!

Baby girl finally recovered by the time we got to Florida on the second day, but the van smelled like death.  She had a couple major diaper blow outs of course on the streets of Hollywood Studios but we survived!

It wasn't long after that and they started dropping like flies.

One night it was Jade in the middle of the night swearing it wasn't the stomach flu.  I refused to kiss him the entire trip - I'm hateful like that but I NEVER caught the bug!

We planned a full and I mean til you drop day at Magic Kingdom my most favorite place ever.  By the end of the day Everett didn't look great.  I just thought he was tired.  He slept through the fireworks, parades, all the fun, and when we got back to our condo he puked in the parking lot.

Fairly certain I did not win Mom of the year award for demanding we see the night show that day!

The next morning we were off to the Disney resort and we stopped for donuts then food supplies for the hotel.

As I was in Walmart oblivious to what was taking place outside Aubrie puked all over the car - literally all over milk & donuts - too graphic?  Sorry!  Try to clean it up with wet wipes!  We threw her carseat cover away right then and there.  It was just a mess.

We pulled into the hotel parking lot only for Everett to proclaim he crapped his pants.  Jade (the one who cleaned up the puke as I shopped) lost his cool and shouted, "Why can't you guys warn me before you puke or shit yourselves!"  I was DYING - some adults can't even control themselves let alone a 5 and 7 year old.  Everett was promptly stripped nude in the Disney parking lot.

I did a full load of laundry in the hotel bath tub & hung the clothes on the balcony - did it help - absolutely not.  They were awful until we got home to do laundry and everything smelled.

Everyone missed the first party - which was amazing - Disney characters, a DJ, food, my family would have loved it but I had to go solo - boo!

The next day Aubrie and Ollie were the only two ready to rock so we hit Epcot pretty much on our own until Jade & Everett could meet us later in the day.  Epcot is right next to the hotel it was amazing!

Finally near the end of the trip EVERYONE was healthy!

Not to make it sound like the worst vacation ever but seriously it was pretty touch and go but we had an amazing time!

We saw every park without puking!  And even hit the water park two days of the trip!

The last Beachbody party was out of this world - it was a Pixar party with all the characters in this huge building no one knew even existed followed by fireworks and dessert by the Epcot lagoon - is it called a lagoon?  It was just the perfect ending to our trip!

I had some time without the kids & worked out a couple mornings to Shaun T in front of the Epcot ball - it was opened to just us coaches early each morning & it was amazing!!  This is my coach Bec on the left & Veronica on the right - I love them!

All in all we had the best time despite circumstances!

And the van after several days in the Florida sun - oh my - Jade joked we'd trade it when we got home it was that bad!  And then in May we did trade it!  hahahaha!

Apologies in advance to the hundreds and hundreds of people we infected while we were there!  And these pictures were in no specific order :)

It's before 4 - and I'm awake!

Today we leave for Disney at 6 AM.  Jade is so excited he can't sleep.  Thus, I can't sleep.  So pray for us because our two kids are sleeping like babies right now so they will be all ramped up today excited for their first plane right and the sites that Florida has to behold!

So what am I looking forward to?
10 full days without work of any kind
Giggles from my kids & my Mom & sisters
Walking onto Main Street with Aubrie at the Magic Kingdom
The food!
That flip flops fit my growing feet no matter what
Everett's over-expressive eyebrows at every new thing he sees
Taking my kids on their first "real" vacation
Sharing it all with my favorite people, my family
The fact that we're still going despite our Ollie news - we need the extra happy
Seeing Disney decked out for Christmas for the first time ever
Riding any ride they will possibly let a 27 week pregnant lady on
Getting our faces painted
Pictures, hugs, and kisses with every character we meet
Mickey & Minnie's houses - enough said
oh and did I mention Swiss Family Robinson's tree house???  I won't leave until I see it
The parrot room
It's A Small World
I could go on and on and on

So yes, our house is locked up and someone will be here taking care of dogs so don't come rob us.  I don't think you'd ever find it, but I'm just throwing it out there for Jade's sanity :)  We will return on Saturday the 4th & we will be reunited with our pug, Trudie - she's probably the only thing I'll miss other than my sweet bed while we are gone.

Since I desperately need new pictures, here are my kids last June on our mini-3 day vacation to St. Louis.  We had a blast, but you'll see in my new pictures I plan to take how much they have grown!  Where does the time go seriously?

Oh  her remains of the perm from her friendly hair cut - now it's past her shoulders and stick straight again!

Oh  how this boy melts me, and he looks SO much like my cousins, the Lively's.
So have a very very Thankful Thanksgiving this year friends.  You have a lot to reflect on in your lives & should feel so blessed!  I can't believe what 2010 has brought my family & I couldn't be more thankful for everything God has provided to us, and I look forward to what he will reveal to us in the coming year!  He always has the ultimate plan if we rely upon him!

God Bless!!

Happy Feelings

This post is for my sisters & my Mom.  It will ramp you up, and you'll be more anxious than ever...

Disney makes you...

want to dance like a 4 year old in the streets
paint your face like a fairy
throw pixie dust in the air
laugh so hard you cry & your cheeks hurt
eat foot long hot dogs & Doritos all day long
get pictures with every character making ridiculous faces even though you are an adult & passersby stare at you
fight seagulls with your bags that try to steal your huge turkey legs from you
wear Disney t-shirts every day that you'd never truly wear in public at home
throw a fit not to leave until you see Swiss Family Robinson's tree house
sing every Disney song you know
skip silly into the park
tear up when you see Cinderella's castle
ride the teacups & Dumbo's ride
buy your kids thick sneakers to make them just a tad bit taller
act like a kid for 10 days straight
wear the same sweatshirt every day & not care (we don't go in peak season for all those questioning this)
visit all the countries in Epcot & try to fake accent them all
always see Indiana Jones & always be amazed at how cool that man is
wear ponchos in the rain and love it
make funny faces to strangers on the monorails as they fly by
eat even more junk food the rest of the day
want all the souvenirs for yourself
be exhausted, but don't want to leave
get up early to get back as soon as you can
oooo and aww over Minnie & Mickeys houses because they are too fabulous
scream on every big ride and love it (as I stand on the side watching you this time!)
point to all the animals on jeep safari ride
oooo and awww over every single detail & decoration that Disney throws up b/c they are all fabulous
go into every 3D show you can
hug a Muppet
cry when you have to leave
laugh for years about all the fun you had

I CAN'T WAIT for vacation with my family.  It will be the best time & you can't find any more happy than when you are at Disney.  Prepare Mom because when Aubrie's face lights up in excitement - you'll cry - and so will I!

Disney Advice

So we are packing up & heading out this fall to my most favorite place on Earth - Disney.  I am counting down the weeks!  Since I have been at my job (nearly 5 years), I have never went on a vacation more than a 4 day weekend.  I am ready to get out and enjoy Disney for all it's worth, some Cocoa Beach, & some down time.

We're staying in 2 condos with my entire family.  That's right 8 adults & 3 kids - should be entertaining & yes we have a harness for Everett already - just in case.  If you think that is terrible - you'd totally understand if Everett was your son!!

I already have autographed books purchased & Mickey ears with their names on them.  I think taking our own "souvenirs" from Wal-Mart and handing them to the kids rather than even attempting stores at Disney is a cheaper & way better option.  We also are going to book a character meal & from my research Chef Mickey's is the place (considering we have a boy that is not so much into princesses).

Any other suggestions tips - must sees & must avoids?

Oh and yes we are flying (woo hoo) & I'll be hugely pregnant so the hideous Shape Up shoes that my sisters fondly tease me for will be on my feet the entire trip.  They don't shape up my legs unfortunately, but dang they feel good on my feet & hips that feel like a rocket may shoot out of my lady parts any given time of day.
