8 Weeks

Wow, it's been 8 weeks.

8 weeks since she received a healthy heart.

It blows my mind that time has passed so quickly since that day.  She is just thriving now.  She's giggling, she's playing, she's pushing up, rolling over, living life to the fullest.

She's out in public!

Everywhere we go people want to see her, even complete strangers.  Her smile is contagious!  She has paparazzi if you will.  I am not even kidding, people in this community love Ollie!

Why?  Because they prayed for her for so long & for so hard.  Her smile, health, and pink skin makes them smile.  You see they saw God moving in our lives.

The most exciting part is that yesterday she was weighed & she has gained 2 pounds in 8 weeks!  She has also grown 1 3/4".  She's 12 pounds 5 ounces and will be 6 months old next week.  She's still rocking the 0-3 month clothes & her feet are so tiny shoes are not even an option, but she's finally growing & we are thrilled to see it!

Thank you for all your prayers through this process!  The 16th we go back to see her cardio & are praying for good news then!  We are anxious to see him!

  3. This makes me sooo happy! Liddy is almost 7 months old and still rocking the 0-3's and newborn shoes. But I can tell you that I am anxious to have her weighed and measured. I swear she's longer than she was before, and I know that she was up .4 kg when we left the hospital from what she was when we went in.
God is so good. All the time. Even when we can't see it immediately. :)

  4. Sounds like she's doing great! And growing so well! I'll sympathize about the small feet business... HOWEVER, if you have a Burlington Coat Factory in your area, they sell size 00 crib shoes. For cheap (like $5.99, maybe?) If you need something a little bigger, we wore Keds for.ev.er in size 0- those are a lot easier to find! And KidExpress has adorable dress shoes down to zeros, too. We were in the land of naught until Piper was about 15 months old, and for my shoe-aholic self, it was torture. So I had to find a way to satisfy my sickness, 'cause when you have a little girl, you should get to buy shoes, right??? :) And if your significantly less enthused with dressing those tiny tooties than I am, feel free to ignore this entire diatribe, lol... :)

  13. I have been following your blog for a few months now, and have never commented. I prayed for Ollie during her surgery, and she is just the most gorgeous little girl. I'm always disappointed when you don't post her pics. :) Your posts always make me laugh and bless my heart.
