How I Miss You

Dear friends,

I apologize...

I have been sooooo busy that I haven't gotten to visit you and your lovely blogs lately.  Please know that I miss your blogs & your stories.  Once Aubrie's dance recital & our Ethel Edith spring show are over, I'll be back to visiting you!

Until then I leave you with Trudie, AKA Hamburgler.  If there is a picnic outside - she's stealing your burger!

Multi-Tasking

OK - I've noticed a talent I have.

It's probably not a good talent.  I realized the other day as I was giving a presentation - it's more like a recorded power point presentation.  So I have a script & I read from it.  I realized as I was reading - my mind was wandering.  It wasn't focused on the words, but some how I was doing the two independently.

There I sat talking about purchasing, but really worrying about my Uncle.

I've noticed I do it when I read books to my kids.  I am talking about Llama Llama, but really I'm planning my next day or a grocery list.  Then, I think holy cow - how am I doing this?!?  This is amazing!

Then, I realize - oh my God I'm doing it again!!  I do it CONSTANTLY!

So is this weird, or can you all do this too and no one speaks of it?

A New Update

Isn't it awesome when God moves?

My Uncle had brain surgery Tuesday night around 9 PM.  When he went in he had stroke like effects on his left side, dizziness, and headaches.

He had a new and old blood in his brain that was putting pressure on his brain and putting it off center.  The doctor was a miracle worker.  In about 30 minutes two holes were drilled and he was able to get out the clots.  About an hour later we saw my Uncle in the hall.  There was a big group of us - we're a very close knit group.  It was such an emotional and frightening night for us all.

Yesterday, my Uncle started using his left side again.  By noon his scan came back good & he went to a regular room.  By the afternoon he was up and walking.

We joke that we Foxes don't like to be hurt.  Even after brain surgery we are walking it off.

Today...he's coming home!  With tears in my eyes I type this amazing news!  God is great & you guys are amazing pray warriors!  I can't thank you enough!!

Inked

Lately I have been thinking about doing something.

The problem is, I can't decide what.

When I was 18 - I blatantly defied Jade.  I got a tattoo.

He said if I got a tattoo he'd break up with me.  I got one anyway and  ha - he married me the crazy boy!  So at 18, I got Todd from The Fox & The Hound on my lower back on the right side.  Just his head, which now is kind of dumb - should have been all of him, but oh well I can't see it and it's still cute.

My maiden name is Fox.  Several male cousins have Fox tattoos so it made sense for me.  I am proud of my last name and where I'm from.

Anyway, now I think I'd kind of like a really feminine tattoo on the top of my foot for my kids.  I can't figure out what though - quite the dilemma.  So if you have any fabulous ideas - please share!
