Laughter Is Medicine

I truly love my husband & he gets my weird sense of humor.

Some nights we lay in bed cracking up.

Ollie Faith sometimes has rough nights.  She sleeps and then gets up for 2-3 hours randomly here and there just to flirt and watch prime time TV with me.

It sucks, even though her smile is delicious.

Sometimes at 5 AM when I can't take it any longer I lay her in bed with us.

Just recently I realized it was a problem.  You see when Aubrie slept with us we couldn't get her out until she was 2 & even after that she'd sneak in at night a lot.  She was famous for putting her feet in the back of your under pants.  It was never a good night of sleep with Aubrie Grace in the bed.

Well, the other night I realized oh shoot, what if we teach Ollie this bad habit.

I told Jade, we have got to keep her in her own bed, or we could quite literally one day have a 40 year old sleeping in bed with us, with her feet in our under pants.

Then we laughed hysterically.

Yes, most people would cringe at the thought of their 40 year old daughter living at home & possibly in their bed.  We choose to laugh hysterically at this new life that we own.

  1. Funny stuff. J slept with me until she was 3-1/2!!! Kiliegh snuggled off and on, mainly when she woke up for her early morning feeding. V slept with me for months! I didt want to have her in her own bed. Getting her there has been difficult for her and me both (since I love snuggling with a seeping baby) but it has been the best. As of recently, I am almost getting full nights of sleep and she is actually going to sleep at a decent time! Yay for that and yay for no forty year old with her feet down your pants!

  2. I almost always end up pulling Ethan into bed with me. I already share the bed with my dog who thinks he is too good to sleep on the floor!

  3. This made me laugh out loud...but then again it could be the use of the word underpants! Ask your mother about this..... :-)

  5. I meant "you need to WORK on the 'long sleep'....." Just too lazy to copy, delete, and paste all over again.

  9. Sounds like some toes just needed warming and they found the perfect spot! Thanks for making me laugh! I had to change from underpants (ha ha) to boxers to stop little doggy paws from going up my butt! Hope that made YOU laugh! Precious stories for you to tell when the babies are older!
