Hit The Door Jack

Well I up and did it.  I've talked about it for a few years - painting the front door.  For being the color junkie that I am, I was hesitant.  I wanted the front porch to look "standard" for some reason so I originally painted it white and all the furniture white too.  Let's face it, it was not me

You can check out the old porch here.

With the beautiful weather, being home all day now, and the need to get my project on - I hit it hard.

I'm not going to lie - it looks pretty sweet right?!

I also tackled the furniture & updated it from white to green.  When you live by a field - white just gets so dusty and you have to wash it constantly.  I'm excited about the new green!

Maggie Jo made me a wreath for the front door that is perfect - she is custom making them if you are interested in one hit her up!

Even Lily is digging the new look - now I'm just wondering how long the fern will live with her chubby butt planted in it to watch in the window.

  2. It looks great Annie! I wish I had your confidence in color... I love color, but I get nervous. My way of working through it is by getting bright accents and keeping the walls neutral.

  5. I LOVE all the color! I wish I was brave enough to do lots of color. We recently painted our hallway a red, now I'm bored with my yellow livingroom! I want big, bold colors in this house!
