My Mom

"If you have a mom, there is nowhere you are likely to go where a prayer has not already been."
 ~Robert Brault

How true is the quote above?  I'm already praying for the future spouses of my children & they are 3 and 4 right now!

I don't know why, but today I feel the need to tell you I have the best Mom ever.  She didn't do anything special or out of the ordinary today.  Every other day I love her just as much as I do today.  It's just she's special every single day and I don't say it enough.

She cares for my kids while I work, even when they are rotten & trust me they aren't perfect & quiet kids!
She buys gifts for everyone all of the time - we don't need gifts, but she does buy the best gifts.  She's a super shopper!
With Dad what you see isn't what you get - he looks way tougher than his heart really is, but with mom - what you see is what you get.  She's really funny, talks 100 miles a minute, she's overly compassionate, and more giving than anyone I know.
She's the most positive person I have ever met, even on the worst days she's full of optimism.
Her faith is just jaw dropping at points.
Anyone that knows her, loves her and agrees with all of the above and probably has ten things to add to my small list.

She worries about me a lot, I know she does.  She doesn't realize, or probably does realize that I worry about her too.  I worry about her and my Dad, they faced this battle once, they know this fight & I hate that they are going back in again, but they know how to do it best & they are stronger than anyone you'd ever meet.

We have a scary road next year.  It will have peaks and valleys, but it will be a journey planned for us straight from God.  We don't yet know his purpose or his plan, and perhaps we never really know the purpose or the plan, but HE does.  I'm just so thankful we have the family & friends that we do.  We are very blessed.  So today hug your Mom.  She's your number one fan, and will worry over you until you are an old little lady - it's just how Moms are - I know because I'm a shrunken version of my Mom!

Thanks Mom for everything you do, it's over and above every expectation I have ever had & that's why you are the best Mom ever!
